Ellipsoid headlights
Not a very exciting picture, but it's mostly used to show that the high and low beams are illuminated at the same time. It seems that people who have upgraded have an issue in which the low beams turn off when the high beams are engaged. This is due to the wiring of the sealed beams.

Wiring is pretty straighforward. All you pretty much have to do is match up the color of the wires and splice them together. You will have an extra lead wire on the lowbeams that I just taped up and left it alone(this wire is used to light up your lowbeams when the highbeams are engaged).

How do you keep the lowbeam and highbeam on at the same time ?
Well, what i did was break open my Bentley's manual and locate the relays for the high and low beams. Then i took a piece of 16awg wire and connected terminal 30 on both relays together.

The end result is that my lowbeams stay lit when i engage the highbeams. There is one caveat though; the foglights will now stay lit when you turn on the highbeams also. However, I don't have foglights so this isn't an issue for me.
